I received a copy of Foxes and Fools in January and after a very busy month was finally able to crack it open and have a look at it

First off, it looks great, but I’ve got one little problem with my copy. It seems that I have two copies of Aoki’s fox card and I’m missing Ako-chan’s fox card
is it possible to remedy this?

Talked to one of you guys via phone today about looking at your product for my store Diversions. Been waiting for an info pack on demos, distribution, info and the like and figured that the email address may have gotten screwed up over the phone. As I said, I’d heard of your game before and remembered the name of your company. There’s the email to send at for the info dump! Looking forward to seeing what you guys have!

    Howdy,

I pre-ordered Kitsune: of Foxes and Fools, Nine-Tailed Edition back in September and was supposed to ship sometime in December if I remember correctly. Well I still have not received the game yet. I double checked my shipping address on Payapl and everything looks good there.

Can you help? What can I do it get this straightened out? I really want to play! :)

      Hi Michael,

We are looking at 1-2 months to art completion, and 2 months after that to the nine tailed edition being in our hands. Sorry that it’s taking so long – we know we’re behind schedule on production of this. Thank you so much for supporting us with your pre-order. We expect to be sending an extra gift to our pre-order customers for the Nine-Tailed Edition to thank you all for your patience.

We are expecting to get it into production soon – we are days away from receiving the comic in finished form, and the colorization has been mostly completed on the card art. By late August or September we should have it in hand.

Thank you for your kind words! We’re entirely happy to provide great experiences. Look forward to the upcoming spin-off game, the Spirit Chase, in which Ai, Midori, Cori, and Akira accidentally release all the sins which have been purified from the Fools, and must chase them down and recapture them before the Elder Kitsune returns and takes away all their recently-earned tails. Also coming up (when we’ve sold enough copies of Kitsune) is an expansion set to accompany the second printing of the core game. Kitsune: The Spirit Courts will encompass five packs of new cards – including two entirely new decks related to new alternate victory conditions. One pack will come with a new set of tokens for a new mechanic: Cursed Tails, which add to your powers and the difficulty of scheme needed to get a new tail, but don’t count towards victory.

    Hello!

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for making time in your schedule to host games in the Table-top Gaming Room at Anthrocon.

I hope that your experience was positive and that you enjoyed the rest of the convention also. If you had any issues or suggestions that you’d like me to be aware of or consider for next year, now is a great time to share that with me.

I’d like to be able to contact you again in November to get you thinking about participating in the track again in 2016. Please drop me a quick e-mail so I may have it to get in contact with you then.

Once again, thank you for your time and efforts to make this year’s track all the more successful.

    Sincerely,

Archon 39. A Celebration of your Imagination
A Science Fiction & Fantasy Convention
    Celebrated October 3rd, 4th, and 5th 2014

Hello. My name is Michael Hatley. I am the charity coordinator and charity auction host for Archon, an internationally known and highly regarded and well attended science fiction and fantasy convention, Archon is celebrating its 39th year at the Gateway Convention Center and the Double Tree Hotel in Collinsville, Illinois. The Archon convention is a locally organized and locally staffed event, presented each year by St.Louis area science fiction and fantasy fans. It includes internationally known media guests, scientist, writers, artists, merchandise dealers and performers and a world recognized Masquerade; its goal is to bring to Saint Louis and science fiction fandom everywhere, A celebration of your imagination.
Archon has again chosen the Challenger Learning Center-St. Louis to be the recipient of the charity proceeds raised during the various fund-raising events held throughout the weekend. The award-winning Challenger Learning Center-St. Louis provides space education programs for schools, corporations, Scouts, community groups and the public. At the core of the center is their state-of-the-art space simulators, which include an orbiting space station and a Mission Control center modeled after NASA’s Johnson Space Center. The program is part of the Challenger Center for Space Science Education, an international not-for-profit educational organization founded in April 1986 by the families of the astronauts tragically lost during the Challenger Space Shuttle mission. The St. Louis location is part of a growing network of approximately 50 plus Challenger Learning Centers located throughout the world and serves schools and other groups of children and adults throughout the greater St. Louis area.
As a long time supporter of Archon’s charities auction in the past or if you are a first time donator, we hope you will be able to help us again or the first time by donation items to the charity auction, such as gift certificates, collectible items, action figures, signs, art work, signed or unsigned books, DVD movies, music cds, tour certificates or anything else that might appeal to a fan base that will number in the thousands. Archon and the Challenger Learning Center Saint Louis would appreciate your support. Last year’s events rose over $4000 for the Learning Center. Your donations in the past have helped us raise over $25,000 for the archon charities during the years I have been associated with the auction .The auction will be held the Saturday afternoon of the convention about 12pm in the Convention Center. Donations should be mailed to: Archon P.O. Box 4191, Ballwin, Mo. 63022-4191. Please have your donations, if you are not attending this year convention and why are you not attending that weekend ?, please mail your donations, to the Archon PO Box prior to October 1, 2015 so they can be pickup by the convention chairperson, and brought to the convention. If needed, I will arrange for the items to be picked up from you prior to that date. If you have any further questions, feel free to contact me by calling me at: 314-323-9381 or by email me at: Charity@archonstl.org. Thank you for your time and support and your donation. I look forward to receiving your donations and working with your company’s items to achieve the greatest return of your company’s donation and investment. Your Company can even be a Charity event sponsor and a member of your company will be allowed to auction off your donation during the auction, be in the program book, display a company banner and be featured on the Charity event webpage.

    Yours Truly,

      Hello Andrew,

I’m not sure where you saw that it was shipped, but we are still working on the Nine Tailed Edition of the game. It is not finished yet, and has not shipped. Sorry for the confusion. You will be receiving your copy as soon as it has been produced.

it’s been quite a while and with the news that the 9tail edition is “full steam ahead” I just wanted to check back to see if I could get in contact with you, or if there is a better way to get ahold of you for a change of address for sending me the 9 tails edition when it’s done.

      Hello Chris,

Sorry for the slow response, wordpress comments don’t always send notifications properly. Our art director is in the process of moving right now, but as soon as he’s settled again, we expect the 9 tailed edition to be finished with development fairly quickly. It has turned out to be an extremely art-intensive project and beyond any scope we had thought for it, but we are committed to getting it made and making it as high quality as we promised.

      Hi Brandon,

Right now we’re seeking capital to be able to do the special edition printing. Sales have been slower than we hoped, so we’re looking into a round of venture capital funding to get back on track with a better marketing push. Thanks for checking in! I recommend emailing us in the future for a faster response time; most of the wordpress comments are spam so comments like yours get lost in the shuffle.

    Hi,

I just got a copy of Kitsune and am eager to try it out but your rules book left out a few important things that I need clarifying.

Assisting/Hindering other foxes is poorly explained. I understand why I would hinder a rival, but not what I get out of helping another fox. The rules imply that only 1 tail is awarded for a Fool successfully tricked, so what incentive is there to assist someone in tricking a Fool? Especially since if the trick fails, the assistant may also wind up sharing in the Consequences. What is the benefit of tricking more than one Fool at a time? If they award more tails, isn’t it wiser to trick two fools at the same time, with a combined Foolishness less than your tails, in order to get two tails at once? Why risk a high-end fool’s wrath if you fail?

Day Cycle/Turn. At Dawn we declare what we’re doing, correct? And do we do it all at once, or one-by-one? Does a “Round” only end at Night? Or is there a round every step of the day (dawn, noon, dusk, etc.)? Do we declare WHOM we will trick if we’re Scheming at Dawn? Do we declare whom we are helping at Dawn?

Snaring is unclear as well; can you elaborate on how it works?

Will you all post a “How to Play Kitsune” video on YouTube any time soon? Some people (such as me) learn best by observing. This will also give you some time to clarify some of the more nuanced rules and strategies that are left out of the rule book.

Thanks, Looking forward to hearing your reply

    Hello,

I received a copy of the game from GenCon but the person said they ran out of the promo cards that were supposed to accompany the game and to email you for the cards. The person gave me this slip of paper with the website but forgot to add the email address. Am I still able to get my promo cards?
